NSWFRA member Ryan Shepheard has been announced by FIFA as one of 39 officials selected to oversee the FIFA Futsal World Cup, to be held in September 2024 in Uzbekistan. This will be Ryan's second consecutive World Cup, having refereed at the 2021 edition in Lithuania.

In April this year, NSWFRA members Nick Backo (referee) and Adrian Tamplin (assessor) attended the OFC Futsal Men’s Champions League in Nouméa, New Caledonia as representatives of Football Australia.

The Association held its Annual General Meeting and presentation of annual awards on 25th March 2024 at Bankstown Sports Club. The Association was fortunate to have two special guests present - Ed Ferguson, Head of Football Development at Football NSW and Matthew Cheeseman, General Manager of Elite Refereeing at Football Australia.

FIFA recently published the 2023-24 edition of the Laws of the Game. These laws will apply for all new competitions in Australia, starting with the 2024 National Futsal Champonships.
