It is with deep regret that NSWFRA has received news that Life Member Geoff Magennis has passed away.
 

Geoff was conferred Life Membership to NSWFRA in the year of its formation for his service to the previous referee bodies in Futsal. Geoff also served as the National Futsal Referees Director of Coaching (and similar positions in previous administrations) for many years and was most noteably the driving force behind Refereeing at the Futsal Nationals for a considerable time. Geoff, alongside his lifelong friends, Ron Luce and the Late Ian Timma, formed the backbone of a group of people that we now know today as the NSW Futsal Referees Association.

The funeral service for Geoff was held on 25th May at Pinegrove Memorial Park in Minchinbury. The Service was attended by NSWFRA President Mr Adrian Tamplin as well as a number of other Life Members, Current and Past Members of NSWFRA and the Futsal community who paid their last respects to our late friend.
