Dion Bradley has been announced as the most recent addition to Australia's FIFA Futsal Referee list, as recently published by Football Australia. He joins fellow NSWFRA members Nick Backo, Jonathon Moore and Andrew Best as Australia's FIFA Futsal Referees.
NSWFRA Technical Director Chris Codling had this to say about the 2025 nominations, on behalf of the Technical Sub-Committee: "Firstly, we must acknowledge the retirement of Ryan Shepheard. Ryan has been a fantastic servant to the game and the NSWFRA, and has really paved the way for futsal referees in NSW and indeed Australia with his performances and all his achievements throughout his career, and we wish him all the best with whatever comes next”.
“Meanwhile, we congratulate Andrew, Jonathon and Nick for returning to the FIFA List of International Futsal Referees for 2025.”
“We would also like to give a very special congratulations to Dion Bradley for being elevated to the FIFA List of International Futsal Referees for the first time in 2025. It has been a pleasure to watch Dion’s development over the past 3 seasons since joining NSWFRA, and wish him all the best as he starts this exciting new chapter in his refereeing career, in which I’m sure he will represent NSWFRA and indeed Australia with distinction."
The hard work of NSWFRA member and Afghani FIFA Futsal Referee Tamim Hussaini must also be recognised. Tamim will not be on the 2025 FIFA Futsal Referee list, but has contributed heartily to futsal refereeing in Australia since arriving in unimaginable circumstances as a refugee a few years ago.
